I don’t usually photograph maternity sessions but when a dear friend is going to have a new baby how can you resist? I have known Carrie since our husband’s attended the Marriage & Family Counseling Program at UCF together in 2006. We have had the pleasure of watching each others families grow and I couldn’t be more excited to share this new journey with them.
Carrie & Rich are like many couples who find it exciting to have a surprise. They chose to wait to find out if the baby is a girl or boy. So here they are, patiently awaiting the arrival of baby “Sweet Pea” who will be here in March! Big sister Kylie is betting on a baby sister and Mommy and Daddy have a feeling it is going to be a boy! Once the little sweetie gets here we will all finally know.
Anyone who has a three year old knows that when it’s time for pictures things don’t always go smoothly.
Kylie was a little unsure of her outfit and thought a snuggle with momma would make it better.
Of course I had to get a few with just Kylie & Carrie.
Does she not just have the most amazing baby bump?!

CommentYesterday was one of the most amazing experiences of my photography career. I had the privilege of photographing my first birth. Not only was it my first birth my it was for two of our best friends, Carrie & Rich.
From the moment I got to the hospital to say hello and get started it was a wonderful emotional roller coaster with an incredible ending. Welcome to the world Grady Tyler!

This is the moment that Grady came into the world via Caesarean. I can not even express in words what I felt as I saw that happen.
Birth truly is a beautiful and amazing thing that we have been given in this life!
Grady had to take a trip to the nursery to be bathed and examined while mommy was in the OR.
I had the opportunity to follow daddy around and loved capturing this moment when Rich held his baby boy for the first time.
And after waiting so patiently to hold her sweet baby, Carrie & Grady shared a special moment that will never be forgotten.
