I will officially be on maternity leave and will not be taking any sessions from November 19, 2012 until February 1, 2013.
I will however be working on the blog and website and answering emails and inquiries as they come in. Keep checking back as I will be posting some of the remaining sessions from 2012 that I have not had a chance to post.

CommentI can’t believe it’s been a year (and it’s only been a year) since I officially started my photography business.
In one sense time has flown and I have been very fortunate and lucky to have been able to try out many types of photography. I have done a wide variety of sessions that included newborns, children, family, couples, engagement, boudoir, bridal, weddings, corporate, and event photography.
In other ways I can’t believe it’s only been a year because of the tremendous growth and knowledge I have obtained. I have learned to work with different types of people and also learned what works best for certain types of sessions. I have learned the business side of things, including the fact that a photography business takes time, money and passion to build. When first getting into this profession I had no idea what I was getting myself into. There are licenses to be obtained, taxes to be paid, equipment, insurance, samples, training and the list goes on and on.
I am happy to say that I have finally found my place in the photography world and know what needs to be done to run my business smoothly. As I have mentioned before, although I have done many types of sessions, I am going to focus on all things weddings (including bridal, rock the dress, engagement & boudoir) while also taking a limited amount of newborn, children and family sessions throughout the year.
Looking back I have to say that while the road was bumpy and not always clear I am glad I pushed through the challenges and kept moving forward. It is not often that people can say that they do what they love for a living, and I honestly can say that I do for the first time in my life.
To all of my family, friends and clients that have supported me through my first year, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I could not have done this without each and everyone of you.
I can’t wait to see what the second year brings me and I hope to see you all again soon!

So what are we giving away? We are giving away a complimentary session to one lucky person. The winner will receive the session along with a print package that includes one 8×10, two 5×7’s and 8 wallets. (Digital Images are not included).
The complimentary session will be valid from March 1, 2013 through December 30, 2013. Winner has their choice of an individual, child(ren), family, or couples session. (Newborn, Boudoir, Engagement, Bridal and Weddings are not included).
